Professional Biography
Anoop Jain in an Intellectual Property professional, he is currently leading IP operations of Samsung R&D Institute India-Delhi (SRI-Delhi). Anoop Jain in an Innovation and Intellectual Property professional, he is currently leading IP & Innovation Team at Samsung R&D Institute India-Delhi (SRI-Delhi). He has vast experience with in-house Innovation Activities, Rapid Prototyping, IP management, IP Generation, and IP planning. His technical expertise includes, Signal/Image Processing, S/W Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchains. He is known for his planning, innovative & out-of-the-box thinking, and execution abilities and getting things done within deadlines with utmost quality.
In his current role, Anoop is leading IP and Innovation Team at SRI-Delhi. He was instrumental in setting up IP Team and laying out processes and policies for IP generation and management at SRI-Delhi. He is involved in various phases of Patent Lifecycle Management from screening of ideas to drafting, filing and maintaining patent at various patent offices across the world. He also manages communication with HQ and overseas office with process localization and implementation. Apart from regular patent activities, he has been involved in strategic consultation of IP creation with leadership and support in IP valuation, acquisition, and Patent Map creation activities. He is also handles compliance, finance and auditory issues. Anoop has also participated in workshop at Samsung Headquarter at Suwon, Korea,
In past Anoop has worked with Evalueserve, a leading IP service firm with various projects on Patentability, Prior Arts, Claim Charting, Infringement, FTO, Patent Ranking etc. He has good understanding of Indian and US patent law. He also has extensive teaching and research experience at one of the top Universities in India (VIT University) where he established two labs (Embedded Systems Lab and High Performance Computing Lab) with support from Altera and Intel. He also worked as Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Missouri, Columbia with focus on co-processor design for image processing applications. His research interest includes image processing, wearable electronics, reprogrammable hardware, and multi-core architecture.
Anoop holds a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from University of Missouri, Columbia with focus on reprogrammable hardware based co-processor design for image processing algorithms, and graduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. During his studies he also diversified to gain knowledge in various fields, he worked as Graduate Research Assistant in Department of Animal Ophthalmology and also taken courses with Trulaske College of Business.
He has been involved with various leadership roles at University level with being President of Cultural Association of India, representative of Graduate and Professional Council, and Missouri International Student Council. He was site leader of Alternative Spring Break and did volunteer work with International Center, HelpAge India, Vedic Society, and various other community activities like career counseling of students etc. He was also involved in planning and organizing various events in India and the US.
Anoop has been recognized for his professional and volunteer work with many employee awards like Employee of the Month, Pat of the Back, Chancellor’s Grant, and he was nominated for Chancellor’s Excellence Award for Graduate Leadership etc.
Anoop is known for his excellent leadership and communication skills. He has proven record of working in dynamic and multi-cultural international environment. He is goal oriented, follows work ethics, fast learner, and likes to work in diverse and challenging environment.
On personality aspect he is an avid traveller, explorer, and photographer. He also likes adventure sports and completed two national tracks, bungee jumping, various road trips etc. He also runs his blog (Voyage), as writes regular columns in corporate website, occasionally writes poems and publishes corporate magazine on Intellectual Property. He is a motivational speaker and taken various workshops on Positivity, Cultural Aspects and work-life balance. He likes to interact with people from different parts of the world and different walks of society.
